Why is treatment sometimes done earlier than the payment?
When a case is urgent and vital, hospitals often proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalisation of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts. That’s why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

Background
Juwel Miya, an 18-year-old student, cherished his education and harbored a dream of becoming a doctor, a stark contrast to his family's humble existence. His family of eight, supported by the meager earnings of his two older brothers, Modul and Robiul, as day laborers, had no financial cushion. The burden of caring for their wives, Parul and Sharmin, and their young children, Yunus and Afrin, meant that every taka was accounted for. Juwel's severe tonsillitis, which caused him to miss crucial days of Madrasah, demanded an expensive surgery that the family simply couldn't afford. The repeated attacks of tonsillitis have led to a serious complication: referred pain in his ear and an X-ray has revealed that he has developed mastoiditis, an infection of the mastoid bone. Without the operation, his condition would likely worsen, potentially leading to chronic health issues, forcing him to abandon his studies and his dream of a better life.
Medical history
Patient Name: Juwel Miya Date of Admission: September 18, 2025 Diagnosis: Tonsillitis Procedure: Tonsillectomy Date of Discharge: September 20, 2025 Juwel Miya was admitted to the hospital on September 18, 2025, with a diagnosis of Tonsillitis. A tonsillectomy was successfully performed on the same day. Following two days of post-operative care and recovery, the patient was discharged in good health on September 20, 2025. His mother and brother-in-law were present at the hospital to accompany his home. The family expressed their heartfelt gratitude to Helpster, Jumuna Clinic, and Bablu Abdullah for their dedicated care and support during her treatment. His father extended special thanks to Helpster for the financial assistance provided, which significantly eased the burden of the medical expenses.
Prognosis
Juwel Miya's chronic condition of giant tonsillitis is a serious health concern, characterized by the persistent inflammation of his tonsils. Given his history of repeated severe throat pain and fever over the past ten months, which has significantly interfered with his daily life and caused him to miss Madrasha, a tonsillectomy (surgical removal of the tonsils) is the recommended course of action. This is considered urgent because a delay in treatment could lead to more severe complications, such as a peritonsillar abscess, or the infection spreading to other parts of his body. The doctor's referral to Helpster Charity was a direct result of understanding the family's financial hardship and the critical need for this surgery to improve Juwel's quality of life and allow him to continue his studies without interruption. For the repetition of the attack Juwel Miya developed referred pain and another infection mastoiditis.
