Why is treatment sometimes done earlier than the payment?
When a case is urgent and vital, hospitals often proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalisation of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts. That’s why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

About malaria + lrti
Malaria and lower respiratory tract infection (LRTI) are common illnesses that often present together in endemic regions, each contributing to significant morbidity. Malaria is characterized by fever, chills, headache, body weakness, and anemia due to parasitic infection of red blood cells, while LRTI typically presents with cough, chest pain, difficulty in breathing, and sometimes sputum production due to infection of the lungs or bronchi. Both conditions weaken the patient’s immunity, complicate recovery, and require prompt diagnosis with appropriate treatment to prevent severe outcomes. Though no complaints of fever when he was presented but laboratory test revealed malaria and lower respiratory tract infection

Background
Abdulhamid is a 1 year old boy, the last born and the only male child among 4 children. The mother is trying in keeping him clean. His father does not have a job at the moment and the mother is a house wife. They live in a 2 rooms appartement given to them to stay temporarily. They drink well water and doesn't have access to electricity, road to the house during rainy season is inaccessible. Abdulhamid has been having sleep disturbances, crying, having catarrh, coughing and vomiting everything frequently. Though the mother doesn't know what is wrong, she only gave him paracetamol syrup because of lack of finances to go to the hospital. No improvement and no changes. She was informed about Helpster Charity by a community head and she brought Abdulhamid for proper evaluation through the support of Helpster Charity. Upon presentation at our hospital he was diagnosed with Malaria and lower respiratory tract infection (LRTI)
Medical history
Abdulhamid a 7month old presented with a 2-day history of high-grade fever, cough, difficulty breathing, poor feeding, and lethargy. Parents noted reduced urine output and irritability. No prior hospital cares. He was diagnosed with malaria and lower respiratory tract infection. Treatment commenced with injection antimalarials, injection antibiotics and other supportive care. After 3 days patient became stable and responded to treatment. He was discharged with some oral medication for continued home treatment. Parents are happy and extends gratitude to Helpster Charity for their support.
Prognosis
With prompt diagnosis and appropriate treatment, the prognosis of malaria and LRTI is generally good, with most patients achieving full recovery. However, delays in treatment or presence of co-morbidities may increase the risk of complications such as severe anemia, respiratory distress, or sepsis. Early intervention, supportive care, and adherence to therapy greatly improve outcomes and reduce the chances of relapse or long-term effects. Treatment for Abdulhamid was on early stage and the right medications were administered accordingly.
