Why is treatment sometimes done earlier than the payment?
When a case is urgent and vital, hospitals often proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalisation of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts. That’s why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

Severe malaria in individuals with sickle cell disease (SCD) can lead to exacerbated anemia and painful vaso-occlusive crises, despite the inherent, but partial, protection against classic malaria symptoms provided by the sickle cell trait (HbAS). This combination of factors significantly increases morbidity and mortality, especially in malaria-endemic areas. Prevention through antimalarial medication, mosquito nets, repellents, and protective clothing is crucial for people with SCD

Background
Harrison is a 5-year-old boy in kindergarten at a local primary school. He lives with his parents and two siblings. His father, a carpenter, is the sole breadwinner, earning about Kshs 3,000, while his mother is a housewife. The family resides in a modest one-bedroom house with mud walls, an iron-sheet roof, and a smeared floor. Harrison dreams of becoming a doctor one day and enjoys playing with children his age. He has sickle cell disease and had been unwell for three days, experiencing joint pain, headaches, chills, and persistent vomiting. Because of financial constraints, the family was unable to seek treatment. Fortunately, a community health promoter intervened and referred him to a health facility, knowing that Helpster Charity provides free medical care for underprivileged children in that health facility. Harrison was admitted at the hospital.
Medical history
Harrison is a known Sickler and was diagnosed with severe malaria he was admitted and was given antibiotics ,sickle cell drugs and rehydrating fluids. As he started feeling better, he was discharged from the hospital to continue his treatment at home and also advised to continue with outpatient sickle cell clinic. During the check-up call, the Helpster volunteer heard from his mother now he is free from pain and back to his normal life. She also says “I can’t describe just how worried I was when my son got sick, and wasn’t getting better as I was treating him with drugs from near by chemists. I would like to appreciate Helpster Charity on their support. Thank you.”
Prognosis
Harrison was diagnosed with severe malaria and he is a known sickle cell client,he was given best medication while in the ward until he was stable and on his discharge prognosis is good and doing well
