Anamika 24 years old lady had 40 weeks plus pregnancy with labor pain with she had also complaints of less foetal movement ,Oligohydromnions, Abdominal Pain during labour is caused by contraction of the muscle of the uterus and by pressure on the cervix.This pain can be felt as strong cramping in the abdomen,groin and back as well as an achy feeling. Fetal distress is a sign that baby is not well. It happens when the baby isn't receiving enough oxygen through the placenta. Fetal distress can sometimes happen during pregnancy, but it's more common during labour. If delivery was not done immediately baby may die within the embryo or baby born with serious respiratory problem.

Now at 40+ weeks of pregnancy, Anamika is in labor with severe complications — less fetal movement, oligohydramnios, and signs of fetal distress. Without immediate delivery, her baby could die in the womb or be born with life-threatening breathing problems, shattering the family’s dreams of welcoming a healthy child. Despite her pain, Anamika remains hopeful, wishing only for a safe birth and a future filled with love alongside her family.
Medical history
Anamika was a primi gravida at 40+ weeks of pregnancy. She presented with abdominal pain, decreased fetal movements, and oligohydramnios. She suddenly began experiencing severe abdominal pain, identified as labour pain, along with continued complaints of reduced fetal movement. She was admitted to Narayanganj Poly Clinic on 15/08/2025 Anamika recovered well and was discharged on 18/08/2025Upon evaluation, there were signs of fetal distress, and labour was not progressing. Due to the complications and risks involved, an emergency cesarean section was indicated. The C-section was performed successfully under spinal anesthesia, and a healthy male baby was delivered. Post-operatively, conservative treatment was provided. She has now returned to her normal life—healthy and smiling.
Prognosis
The doctor’s prognosis is that timely delivery is critical for both Anamika and her baby. Since the pregnancy was already at 40+ weeks with Oligohydromnions, Abdominal pain and reduced fetal movement, the baby was at high risk of oxygen deprivation and distress. With immediate intervention like caesarean section, the baby’s life could be saved and the risk of long-term complications reduced. However, if left untreated, the baby could die in the womb or be born with severe respiratory and neurological problems due to lack of oxygen. This makes emergency delivery the only safe course of action.
