Why is treatment sometimes done earlier than the payment?

When a case is urgent and vital, hospitals often proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalisation of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts. That’s why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

About digestion system

Gastritis is an inflammation of the lining of the stomach. The inflammation of gastritis is most often the result of infection with the same bacterium that causes most stomach ulcers or the regular use of certain pain relievers. The condition is associated with the acute pain.

Bokoli Sub-County Hospital, Sikata - Kimilili Rd, Bokoli

Background

Lonah is a twenty years old girl who would like to be a hotel manager. She has visual impairment of the Lt eye because of what she says was an untreated infection - she had been unable to pay for medical treatment back then, and the infection damaged her vision. She lives with her mother and her siblings; her father died a few years ago. She works hard in school and always gives the best results despite the financial predicament of her family. She presented to the hospital with burning sensation and the abdominal pain.

Medical history

She presented to the hospital with a long-standing burning sensation in the epigastric region, which she had been unable to treat earlier due to financial constraints. She was diagnosed with gastritis and peptic ulcer disease, received appropriate treatment, and is now recovering well.

Prognosis

If gastritis is left untreated, it can lead to a range of complications and ongoing discomfort. The persistent inflammation of the stomach lining can result in the development of peptic ulcers, causing more severe pain and the potential for bleeding or perforation of the stomach. Untreated gastritis may also lead to anemia due to chronic blood loss, resulting in fatigue and weakness.
