Why is treatment sometimes done earlier than the payment?
When a case is urgent and vital, hospitals often proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalisation of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts. That’s why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

Background
Mst. Ruma Khatun, a 16-year-old girl who dreams of becoming a teacher, had to discontinue her studies after class six because of her family’s poverty, though she still finds joy in singing songs. She lives in a tin-shed house with eight family members, including her parents, siblings, uncle, grandfather, and niece, all supported by her father’s small farming income of only 7,000 BDT per month. Now suffering from severe abdominal pain caused by appendicitis, she can no longer study or enjoy her hobbies. Without urgent surgery, her appendix could rupture, leading to life-threatening infection and even death. Despite her determination and kind spirit, the family cannot afford the treatment cost, leaving her future and even her life at serious risk.
Medical history

Prognosis
Ruma Khatun is exhibiting classic symptoms of acute appendicitis—severe abdominal pain for ten days—requiring immediate appendectomy (surgical removal of the appendix) to prevent rupture. Without urgent surgery, she risks peritonitis, sepsis, or even death due to infection spreading in her abdomen. Early intervention is critical to ensure her full recovery and return to normal life.
