Reagan Kiiru is a 1-year-old boy who enjoys playing with his toys and loves porridge and ripe bananas. He can get easily upset when it comes to his belongings. Two days ago, Reagan’s mother brought him to the hospital after over-the-counter medications for a common cold failed to improve his condition. He was experiencing persistent cough with difficulty breathing, worse at night, vomiting with coughing, nasal blockage with mucus, snoring during sleep, fever, and abdominal pain. Concerned and without a stable source of income, she relies on small jobs such as washing clothes, Reagan’s mother sought help in the community. On her way, she met her pastor, who introduced her to Helpster Charity. With their support, she brought Reagan to the hospital, where he was diagnosed with bronchiolitis. Due to the severity of his condition, he was admitted for inpatient management and is currently responding well to treatment.

Reagan Kiiru was admitted to the hospital on 17th August 2025 after presenting with symptoms that required immediate medical attention. Upon admission, a comprehensive assessment was conducted, and the medical team initiated a tailored course of Antibiotics to manage the underlying infection. Throughout his stay, Reagan's vital signs were closely monitored, and his response to the medication was positive. The medical staff ensured he received adequate hydration, rest, and supportive care to aid his recovery. By the third day, his condition had stabilized significantly, and he no longer required intensive observation. On 19th August 2025, after a full evaluation, Reagan was officially discharged from the hospital. He is now in good health, showing no signs of the previous symptoms

Reagan’s prognosis is good, especially since he received timely hospital care and is already responding well to treatment. With continued management, most children with bronchiolitis recover completely within 1 to 2 weeks.
