Why is treatment sometimes done earlier than the payment?

When a case is urgent and vital, hospitals often proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalisation of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts. That’s why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

About gynecology

Sova is experiencing a post-dated pregnancy, meaning her pregnancy has extended beyond the expected due date. She is showing signs of fetal distress, which indicates the baby may not be receiving enough oxygen. Additionally, she is suffering from severe abdominal pain, with a hardened and distended abdomen — symptoms that could suggest serious complications. Immediate medical attention is urgently required to ensure the safety of both mother and baby.

Thank you for saving this life!

Background

Sova, an 18-year-old girl with a gentle nature and a strong desire to become a teacher, now faces a life-threatening challenge as her pregnancy has gone beyond term, causing severe abdominal pain and signs of fetal distress. Her family of five lives in a temporary camp under extremely poor conditions, surviving on minimal resources with no savings for emergency medical care. Despite her resilience and dedication to caring for her loved ones, they cannot afford the urgent cesarean section surgery advised by doctors. Without this treatment, both Sova’s life and her baby’s life are at grave risk. Her story reflects not only her dreams but also the family’s desperate hope for support to save their daughter and her unborn child.

Medical history

Sova was admitted on 01.09.2025 in critical condition with a post-dated pregnancy and signs of fetal distress. Due to the severity of her symptoms, including severe abdominal pain and a distended abdomen, an emergency cesarean section was performed the same day. The procedure was successful, and both mother and baby were stabilized. With proper post-operative care, Sova recovered well and was discharged in stable condition on 04.09.2025. The timely intervention ensured a safe outcome for both.

Prognosis

Sova is suffering from primi gravida with a post-dated pregnancy, severe lower abdominal pain (PLA), and clear signs of fetal distress. If left untreated, the condition could lead to Intrauterine Fetal Death (IUFD), posing a serious risk to both the baby and the mother’s health. However, if an emergency Lower Uterine Cesarean Section (LUCS) is performed immediately, the baby has a high chance of survival, and life-threatening complications can be avoided. Timely surgical intervention will not only save the baby’s life but also ensure Sova's safe recovery, turning this critical situation into a hopeful outcome for the entire family.
