Most Akhitara Akter, a 22-year-old mother with a love for cooking, is now 36 weeks pregnant and facing a high-risk breech pregnancy. Her husband, Md Alauddin, works as a day laborer with very limited income, which is barely enough to support their small family of four, including their 5-year-old son Ahsik Babu and elderly mother-in-law, Anowara Begum. With her previous history of a caesarean section, doctors have warned that without timely medical intervention, both she and her unborn baby face the risk of cord prolapse, birth trauma, or even stillbirth. Despite her resilience and dreams of giving birth to a healthy child, the family cannot afford the cost of safe delivery care. Their only hope is timely support so that Akhitara and her baby can survive and thrive.
Medical history
Akhitara Akter was admitted to the hospital on September 10, 2025, with a diagnosis of a 2nd pregnancy with Breech Presentation. On the same day, she had a successful cesarean section and gave birth to a healthy baby boy. Both mother and newborn were discharged on September 15, 2025, in good health.
