Sadiq I., 3

Sadiq is a 3 years old male child currently living with his mother. He ia not enrolled in school because of financial difficulties. The father is not living with them as he is divorced to Sadiq's mother. They are currently living in the grand parents house with his mother and the rest of his siblings. Sadiq started having fever, high body temperature, watery stool, rejecting food, abdominal pain and cough. The mother doesn't have any money for drugs and Sadiq was becoming sick each passing day, until Helpster Charity was informed to the mother, no help was coming through. They came to Albishir Hospital for Helpster Charity to support their medications and that was when Sadiq was warmly received by the medical personnel and was admitted and properly evaluated. Upon presentation at our hospital and after proper investigations he was diagnosed with Malaria and enteric fever

Sadiq a 3 years old male child started having fever, high body temperature, watery stool, rejecting food, abdominal pain and cough. He was admitted and diagnosed with malaria and enteric fever. Treatment commenced with injection antimalarials, injection antibiotics and other supportive care. He became stable, temperature became normal, no more watery stool, eating continued well. Patient was discharged after some days with some orals to continue at home, he is to return after 1 week for follow up. The family remained grateful to Helpster Charity for the support.

With timely diagnosis and proper treatment, the prognosis of malaria and enteric fever is generally good, with most patients achieving full recovery, though delays or severe cases can lead to complications and increased risk of mortality. Sadiq was given timely intervention and therefore, fight against any health complications and mortality risk was prevented.
