Why is treatment sometimes done earlier than the payment?
When a case is urgent and vital, hospitals often proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalisation of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts. That’s why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

Cellulitis is a bacterial infection of the skin and subcutaneous tissue, which can occur as a complication after a snake bite. Snake bites can introduce bacteria from the snake’s mouth, fangs, or the surrounding environment, leading to infection. A snake bite is an injury resulting from a snake's fangs penetrating the skin, which can be a serious medical emergency if the snake is venomous. Venomous bites can inject toxins that cause a range of systemic effects, including tissue death, bleeding problems, nerve damage, or even death. Nonvenomous bites are typically treated as puncture wounds and are generally not serious.

Background
John is a 12-year-old boy, the fourth of six children. He lives with his single mother, who struggles to provide for the family. John is polite, cheerful, and enjoys playing football at school. He is a hardworking student with aspirations of becoming a doctor. During lunch break, while fetching firewood to prepare lunch for his siblings, John was bitten on his right lower leg by a black snake hidden in the twigs. Initially, he was taken to a herbalist who administered traditional medicine, but his condition worsened. A community health provider quickly referred him to the hospital, where he received proper medical treatment.
Medical history
John Victor was brought in to the facility with history of animal bite,assesment showed snake bite.He was then treated propmtly by antivenom andalso covered with antibiotics for cellulitis.He responded positively to the treatment and was discharged on oral medications.Upon follow up he has recovered fully and can now walk well as he used to before and can now play with his mates and has gone back to school as well.
Prognosis
With prompt medical treatment, including wound care, appropriate antibiotics, and supportive care, the cellulitis will resolve within 7–14 days without long-term complications. Snake bite is an emergency condition especially if the bite is from a venomous snake as in John's case, who came in with history of snake bite and had tried herbal treatment with no progress. John's prognosis showed positive result on the second day after treatment with antivenom, injectable hydrocortisone and anti inflammatory drugs to counteract the oedema. John showed improvement upon discharge and is scheduled for a follow up to confirm his full recovery and good prognosis.
