Abdur Rahman is a lively and cheerful 2-year-old boy who loves playing football and dreams of growing up healthy like other children in his village. He lives with his parents, three sisters, and grandmother in a small tin-made house, where his father, Abul Kalam, earns only 8,000 BDT a month running a tiny grocery shop, barely enough to cover the family’s basic needs. Since birth, Abdur has suffered from a blocked tear duct in his right eye, causing constant pain, infections, and difficulty seeing, but the family cannot afford the BDT 45,000 needed for surgery. Without timely Dacryocystorhinostomy (DCR), his condition will worsen, putting his vision at serious risk and affecting his daily life and growth. This struggling family is desperately appealing for help to give their little boy a chance at a healthy, happy childhood and a bright future.

Abdur Rahman, a 2-year-old boy, required DCR surgery in his right eye due to a blocked tear duct that was causing constant watering and discomfort. The treatment was carried out under general anesthesia by Dr. Md. Anwar Hossain Sk, Chief Consultant of the Hospital, ensuring a safe and controlled procedure. Throughout the surgery, the medical team closely monitored his condition, and the operation progressed smoothly. In the days following the surgery, Abdur Rahman showed steady improvement as the watering stopped and his eye became more comfortable.
