Sabbir Hossain, a sweet and playful 4-year-old boy with physical disabilities and speech difficulties, loves watching television, which brings him joy despite his daily challenges. He lives with his parents, elder brother Mahmudul Hasan, and grandmother Peyera Begum in a small tin-made house, where his father, Abdul Kader, earns only 6,000 BDT a month as a day laborer, barely enough to cover food and basic needs. Sabbir suffers from a blocked nasolacrimal duct in his left eye, causing constant pain, discharge, and risk of infection, which has worsened over time and impacts his daily life. Doctors have recommended Dacryocystorhinostomy (DCR) surgery as the only way to restore his vision, but the family cannot afford the BDT 45,000 required for the treatment. Without this urgent surgery, Sabbir risks permanent eye damage, continuing pain, and further limitations in his daily activities, leaving his loving family desperate for help.

The doctors have assured that the surgery will relieve his constant eye problems, reduce infection risks, and restore proper tear drainage, thereby protecting his eyesight. They strongly advised that timely surgery can significantly improve his quality of life and help him cope better with his other challenges. However, if left untreated, Sabbir may face recurring painful infections, further vision loss, and long-term complications. The doctors are hopeful that with immediate surgery, Sabbir can enjoy a more comfortable childhood and be able to grow without the constant struggle of eye disease.
