Background
Mst. Masuda Begum, a 38-week pregnant mother of two, lives with her husband and children in a small tin-made house where four family members struggle to survive on her husband’s meager income as a day laborer. Despite a life of hardship, she is gentle, hopeful, and finds joy in cooking for her family. Now, she is suffering from severe oligohydramnios, a dangerous condition that threatens both her life and the baby’s survival if not treated urgently. Without treatment, she risks losing her child or facing life-threatening complications during delivery. The family, already burdened by poverty, cannot afford the high cost of hospital care, leaving her dreams of giving birth to a healthy baby in grave uncertainty.
Medical history
Masuda Begum was admitted to the hospital on September 10, 2025, with a diagnosis of a third pregnancy with severe oligohydramnios. Additionally, her two previous delivery was C-section. On the same day, she had a successful cesarean section and gave birth to a healthy baby boy. Both mother and newborn were discharged on September 15, 2025, in good health. Her husband came to the hospital to receive her and their child. The family expressed their gratitude to Helpster, Jamuna Clinic and Bablu Abdullah for their treatment and support. Prognosis
The doctor recommends an urgent cesarean section for Masuda Begum to prevent life-threatening complications for both her and her baby.
