Background
Salma Akter, a gentle and caring housewife, lives in a small tin-shed home with her husband, little daughter, and mother-in-law, making a family of four. Her husband earns only around 7,000 BDT a month as a day laborer, which barely covers food and daily needs, leaving nothing for the urgent medical care she requires. Now 36 weeks pregnant, Salma’s checkup revealed a breech presentation, and with her past history of abortion, the risks for both her and her baby are dangerously high. Doctors have warned that without timely medical intervention, she could face life-threatening complications such as cord prolapse, birth trauma, or even stillbirth. Despite these fears, Salma holds onto her dream of safely bringing her baby into the world and creating a brighter future for her family
Medical history
Salma Akter was admitted to the hospital on September 24, 2025, with a diagnosis of Breech Presentation. On the same day, she had a successful cesarean section and gave birth to a healthy baby girl. Both mother and newborn were discharged on September 28, 2025, in good health. Her husband came to the hospital to receive her and their child.
