Why is treatment sometimes done earlier than the payment?

When a case is urgent and vital, hospitals often proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalisation of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts. That’s why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

About urology

"Undescended testis," also known as "cryptorchidism," is a condition in which one or both of a male infant's testicles have not moved down into the scrotum, the sac of skin below the penis, as they normally do during fetal development.

Background

Jonathan is a 6-year-old boy who enjoys playing sports with his friends, reading, and watching movies. When he grows up, he wants to be a doctor. About 3 months ago, he noticed a swelling in his groin and scrotal area.

Medical history

Johnathan had a successful left orchiopexy, on the 27th of October 2023 . He was discharged in a stable state of health on 1st of November 2023.

Prognosis

Treatment for undescended testis often involves surgery to bring the testicle into the scrotum. If left untreated, this condition can lead to potential complications, including infertility and an increased risk of testicular cancer in the affected testicle. It's important to address undescended testis in early childhood to prevent these long-term issues.
