This lead to obstruction and hence the babies cannot be delivered per vaginam The patient needs urgent caesarian section to save the two lives at stake

Background
Sofiat is a 23yr old girl. She is the first child of the mother. Her father died when she was 5yrs old. She was leaving with the maternal grandmother when the mother remarried She was brought up by the grandmother .The highest education received was jss3. The patient was brought into our hospital. According to the patient, she was impregnated by her partner who happened to be a motor boy in the car park where she sells fruits. She attempted abortion in the company of the boyfriend but failed. The boyfriend has since disappeared since then. She registered for antenatal care at traditional attendant home until she developed complications in labour. Upon presentation and examination, she was diagnosed with Prolonged Obstructed Labor attendant home with twins' pregnancy. The leading twins had abnormal presentation (transverse). She was rushed into the emergency for C/S.
Medical history
Sofiat Adeogun was admitted into this facility on the 8th of September 2025 following prolonged obstructed labour at traditional birth attendant home. She was brought in exhausted with swollen vulva and prolapse of the hand of the leading twins. was immediately resuscitated and scheduled for emergency caesarian section after review with obstetrics scan and laboratory investigations. She had surgery the same day and both babies were resuscitated by attendant paediatricians She was placed on antibiotics and intravenous fluids. The post operative period was uneventful. The patient was discharged on the 16th of September 2025 in a stable state of health. She is to be followed up on outpatient basis. The patient appreciated Helpster charity for coming to her aids at the point she needed assistance most in her.
Prognosis
The patient needs urgent caesarian section to save the babies before fetal distress and maternal exhaustion sets in The prognosis is good if the babies are resurcitated and dehydrated followed by immediate surgery with paediatricians in attendant.
