Jayden is the second-born child in a family of two. His family lives in a rural area without electricity, and they rely on a pit latrine as their toilet facility. His mother is a housewife, while his father is the sole breadwinner, working as a casual laborer earning about 50 shillings per day to support the family. They fetch drinking water from a stream located more than 30 minutes away. Two weeks ago, Jayden developed mouth sores and was treated with drugs bought from a nearby chemist, but the problem persisted. Recently, his mother noticed that he was not feeding well and had developed swelling in the submental region, which extended to the tongue. She reported that she had already sought treatment for him at a private hospital, but there was no improvement. Upon further examination at the hospital, Jayden was diagnosed with Ludwig’s Angina and was advised to be admitted for treatment. However, his mother initially refused due to lack of money. She was then referred to the Helpster Charity coordinator, where a volunteer assessed the family’s poverty situation and enrolled Jayden into the Helpster Charity program for support.

Jayden was diagnosed with Ludwig's Angina,he was given treatment while in the was until he was stable and discharged.On phone call by Helpster volunteer his mother was happy and was still appreciating Helpster Charity Organization for standing with them in their difficult situation.

Jayden’s prognosis is good with timely and appropriate treatment. Ludwig’s Angina can be a serious condition, but since he was promptly admitted and started on the right management through Helpster Charity’s support, he is expected to make a full recovery. Continuous monitoring and adherence to treatment will help prevent complications and ensure complete healing.
