Why is treatment sometimes done earlier than the payment?
When a case is urgent and vital, hospitals often proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalisation of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts. That’s why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

About malaria
Malaria is an acute febrile illness caused by Plasmodium parasites transmitted through the bite of infected Anopheles mosquitoes, common in tropical and subtropical regions. It typically presents with fever, chills, sweating, headache, body weakness, and sometimes vomiting or diarrhea, with severe cases leading to anemia, cerebral malaria, organ failure, or death if untreated. The disease remains a major global health challenge, particularly in children and pregnant women, but it is both preventable and curable through early diagnosis, effective antimalarial therapy, insecticide-treated bed nets, mosquito control, and preventive strategies.

Background
Sadiq is 4 years old, he is the third child of his parents, currently living with them in a small community. The father is a labourer and the mother is a house wife. They live in 2 rooms appartement, without access to electricity and they use water from the well for their daily activities. Sadiq started having fever, loss of appetite, malaise for 3 days. Despite giving him some paracetamol syrup, the condition of fever and high body temperature wasn't mitigated. The parents are not having finaces to take him to the hospital, some outreach we had few weeks ago made them contact us the Volunteer and we arranged for them to visit WholeCare hospital for proper evaluation. On presentation at our hospital, he was evaluated and investigations revealed a diagnosis of malaria.
Medical history
Sadiq is a 4-year old boy, who was diagnosed with Malaria and Dehydration. He was admitted for 3-days and had Intravenous infusions and medications. On improvements, he was discharged home with oral medications. The parent are grateful to Helpster Charity for the free medical treatment.
Prognosis
The prognosis of malaria is generally favorable with early diagnosis and prompt treatment, as most patients recover fully within days to weeks. However, in severe cases especially cerebral malaria, severe anemia, or multi-organ involvement the risk of complications and death is high, particularly in children, pregnant women, and immunocompromised individuals. Delayed treatment, drug resistance, and poor access to healthcare worsen outcomes, while preventive measures and effective therapy greatly improve survival and long-term health.
