Mohammad Anas, a cheerful 9-year-old boy from Chandpur Sadar, loves watching television and dreams of continuing his studies to build a better future. He lives with his widowed mother, Rowsan Ara, his elder sister Kamia Jahan Nisa, who struggles to continue her education by giving tuition, and his elderly grandmother Noorjahan. Since the death of his father, Mostafa Kamal, the family survives on barely BDT 5,000 a month, which is not enough to meet even their basic needs, let alone medical costs. Recently, Anas was diagnosed with a granuloma in his left eye, and doctors warned that without urgent surgery he could permanently lose his vision. The required surgery costs BDT 22,500, an impossible amount for this struggling family, yet it is the only way to save Anas’s sight and his dreams for the future.

Mohammad Anas, a 9-year-old boy, required excision of a granuloma in his left eye because the growth was causing discomfort and interfering with his vision. The surgery was performed under local anesthesia by Dr. Md. Anwar Hossain Sk, Chief Consultant of the Hospital, ensuring a safe and precise procedure. Throughout the treatment, Mohammad Anas remained stable, and the surgical process went smoothly without complications. After the operation, his eye healed well under regular medical supervision. He gradually became more comfortable, and the irritation he had been experiencing was relieved. His visual acuity improved significantly, allowing him to see clearly again. Rashedur Rahman Talukder, Senior Consultant of Mazharul Haque BNSB Eye Hospital, Chandpur, Anas requires immediate surgery in his left eye to remove the granuloma and protect his vision. They are confident that with timely surgery, his vision can be restored, and he will be able to continue his education and normal childhood activities without difficulty. However, if left untreated, the granuloma will continue to grow, causing progressive vision loss and leading to permanent blindness in the left eye. With proper treatment, Anas has an excellent chance to regain his eyesight and live a healthy, bright future.
