Champa Islam, a bright and kind-hearted 13-year-old girl, lives in a small tin-made house with her parents, two siblings, and elderly grandparents who need constant care, all surviving on her father’s meager 10,000 BDT monthly income as a factory laborer. Despite her cheerful and determined nature, Champa has been struggling with swelling and blurred vision in her left eye, which doctors have diagnosed as dermolymphoma, a condition that threatens to steal her eyesight. With the family already struggling to cover food, schooling, and medical needs for her grandparents, they have no means to afford the urgent 22,500 BDT surgery. Without treatment, Champa risks permanent vision loss, which would endanger her education and dreams of a brighter future. Her family is desperately appealing for support to save her eye and give her the chance to continue learning and thriving.

Champa Islam, a 13-year-old girl, required excision surgery for dermolymphoma in her left eye as the condition was causing discomfort and affecting her vision. The surgery was successfully performed under anesthesia by Dr. Md. Anwar Hossain Sk, Chief Consultant of the Hospital. The treatment went smoothly, and Champa responded well during the recovery period under close medical supervision. After the surgery, she felt much more comfortable and her visual acuity improved significantly. She can now see clearly, and her family is very grateful for the successful outcome. They are confident that with timely surgery, her vision can be saved, and she can return to her normal childhood activities and continue her studies without difficulty. However, if left untreated, Champa’s condition will worsen, leading to permanent blindness in her left eye. Early intervention is critical, and with the support of kind donors, Champa has an excellent chance to regain her vision and secure a brighter future.
