Why is treatment sometimes done earlier than the payment?
When a case is urgent and vital, hospitals often proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalisation of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts. That’s why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

Background
Fransisca is a 16-year-old girl, the firstborn in a family of five. She is in Grade 7 at a rural public primary school. Her mother, a single parent, is the sole breadwinner and sustains the family through a small green-grocery business. They live in a rented house, share a pit latrine with neighbors, and depend on stream water for drinking. Fransisca is a dedicated student who enjoys playing netball and aspires to become a doctor in the future. She presented to the facility with a septic wound on her lower right limb, which had persisted for about one month. She reported that it started as a mildly itchy pimple but later developed into an open wound that oozed pus. Initially, she sought outpatient treatment but discontinued follow-up due to financial challenges.
