Why is treatment sometimes done earlier than the payment?
When a case is urgent and vital, hospitals often proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalisation of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts. That’s why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

About rti + malaria
RTI (Respiratory Tract Infection): An infection affecting the airways or lungs, often caused by bacteria or viruses. It presents with cough, fever, sore throat, or breathing difficulty and responds well to early treatment and rest. Malaria: A mosquito-borne infection caused by Plasmodium parasites, leading to fever, chills, weakness, and body aches. With prompt diagnosis and antimalarial therapy, recovery is usually complete. Salem was having fever, high body temperature and rejecting food.

Background
Salem is 3 years old, the third child of his parents among 3 children. The mother is a house wife while the father is a civil servant, not currently living with them, he has not been taking care of his family for the past few years. Salem started having fever, high body temperature and has not been playing around with other kids, he has been sleeping for a very long time in the afternoon for 2 days, despite giving him some paracetamol syrup, the condition never improved. The mother was very worried and she contacted Albishir Hospital to be supported by Helpster Charity because she cannot afford the medical bills. Upon presentation at our hospital, and after further evaluation, he was diagnosed with Respiratory Tract Infection and Malaria.
Medical history
Salem a 3 years old child was admitted to Albisbir Hospital with fever, chills, cough and loss of appetite for some days. He was diagnosed with malaria and respiratory tract infection. Treatment commenced with injection antimalarials, injection antibiotics and other supportive care. Salem became stable, he begins to eat, temperature normalizes and he continued to play around. He was discharged with some take home orals and was scheduled for follow-up. The mother remains grateful to Helpster Charity for their support.
Prognosis
Prognosis: With early diagnosis and proper treatment, both RTI and malaria have good recovery outcomes. Most patients respond well to medication and supportive care. However, delayed treatment can result in complications such as pneumonia, severe malaria, or anemia, especially in young children and the elderly. Treatment commenced with injection antibiotics, injection antimalarials and other supportive care to Salem.
