Hassan Muhammed, a bright and playful 5-year-old boy from Hausari Ward, Bololo, Nguru, enjoys spending time outdoors, especially playing football with his friends in the neighborhood. He’s curious about the world and loves listening to stories from his grandfather, often dreaming about becoming a doctor one day so he can help sick children like himself. Hassan Muhammed, a 5-year-old boy, fell ill with high fever, chills, vomiting, and weakness. Upon presentation at our hospital ,he was diagnosed with malaria and admitted to General Hospital Nguru on 8th September 2025.

Hassan Muhammed, a 5-year-old boy diagnosed with malaria, was admitted on 8th September 2025 and treated with intravenous artesunate followed by oral primaquine, along with supportive care such as paracetamol, hydration, and nutrition. He showed good clinical improvement, with fever resolving by the third day and malaria parasites cleared by the fourth day. He was discharged in stable condition on 11th September 2025, with a follow-up appointment scheduled. The medical care and hospitalization were fully supported by The Helpster Charity, whose assistance is sincerely appreciated.

The doctor’s prognosis is positive—with proper treatment, Hassan is expected to fully recover without long-term effects. However, if left untreated, malaria could have led to severe complications like anemia, organ damage, or even death. Early treatment was crucial to saving his life and restoring his health.
