Why is treatment sometimes done earlier than the payment?
When a case is urgent and vital, hospitals often proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalisation of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts. That’s why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

About gynecology
Chadni Akther, at over 36 weeks of pregnancy, is experiencing reduced fetal movement and signs of fetal distress, which are serious indicators that the baby may not be receiving enough oxygen. At this late stage in pregnancy, consistent fetal activity is an important indicator of fetal health. Prompt assessment through clinical examination and fetal monitoring is essential.

Background
Chadne Akther, a 20-year-old homemaker who loves cooking, is over 36 weeks pregnant and has noticed her baby moving less than usual—a dangerous sign of fetal distress. She lives with her husband, his unemployed brother, and six other family members in a small tin house, surviving on her husband’s previous monthly income of just 8,000 BDT. Despite her cheerful and caring nature, the family cannot afford urgent hospital care, including a potential cesarean section, to save the baby. Without immediate treatment, both Chadne and her baby face life-threatening complications. The family is desperate, clinging to hope that someone will help them provide the care they cannot afford.
Medical history
Chadni Akter, a gynecology patient, was admitted on 15.10.2025 at 38 weeks of pregnancy with lower abdominal pain, fetal distress by a breech presentation. On 15.10.2025, she successfully underwent a cesarean operation and gave birth to a healthy baby. Both mother and baby remained stable and were discharged on 18.10.2025 with proper advice. The patient and her family expressed heartfelt gratitude to Helpster, the dedicated volunteers, Abdullah Hospital, and Dr. Nusaiba Tasnim for their kind support and excellent care throughout the process.
Prognosis
Chadni Akther, at over 36 weeks of pregnancy, is experiencing reduced fetal movement and signs of fetal distress, which are serious indicators that the baby may not be receiving enough oxygen. Immediate medical intervention, likely through expedited delivery (often via cesarean section), is critical to prevent long-term complications or stillbirth. With prompt treatment, the baby has a high chance of survival and normal development, especially given the advanced gestational age. However, if left untreated, the lack of oxygen can lead to severe outcomes such as brain damage, developmental delays, or death. Timely care can significantly improve both maternal and neonatal outcomes.
