Medical history
Nargis was admitted to the hospital on 22.09.2025 due to breech presentation, lower abdominal pain, and mild anemia at 38 weeks of pregnancy. A successful cesarean section was performed on the same day to ensure the safety of both mother and baby. Following the operation, she received careful post-operative care, including monitoring, medication, and support to aid her recovery. The treatment was effective, and both Nargis and her newborn remained stable and healthy. Her recovery progressed smoothly, and she was discharged in good condition on 25.09.2025, able to rest and care for her baby at home.
Prognosis
The doctor’s prognosis for Nargis is hopeful with timely surgical intervention. A Lower Segment Cesarean Section (LSCS) under Spinal Anesthesia (SAB) is the safest option to deliver the baby and prevent complications from the breech presentation and maternal anemia. With this treatment, both mother and baby are expected to recover well and have a healthy outcome. However, if left untreated, Nargis could face obstructed labor, excessive bleeding, and severe exhaustion, while the baby could suffer from oxygen deprivation, birth trauma, or even death. Immediate surgical management is therefore essential to save both lives and ensure a safe delivery.
