After taking lab tests, it was diagnosed that Joy is suffering from Malaria and Urinary Tract Infection. Urinary Tract Infection is a condition in which bacteria invade and grow in the urinary tract (the kidneys, ureters, bladder, and urethra). Malaria is a potentially life-threatening infectious disease caused by parasites transmitted to humans through the bite of infected female Anopheles mosquitoes. Once inside the human body, the parasites multiply in the liver and then infect red blood cells, causing recurrent cycles of symptoms, including high fever, chills, fatigue, and, in severe cases, organ damage or failure.This stage of the disease is defined by the evidence of vital organ dysfunction.

Background
Joytetphine is an orphan and together with her five siblings, they live with her uncle's family. She is an active young girl who likes playing football and would like to be a nurse when she grows up. She came to hospital with symptoms of fever and joint pains.
Medical history
Joy’s laboratory results revealed that she suffers from Malaria and Urinary Tract Infection. She was put on antimalarial drugs and antibiotics to curb her illness. She is now well. Prognosis
The doctor administered antimalarial and antibacterial drugs. Malaria should be treated promptly with the use of antimalarial drugs. If left untreated, it can lead to severe complications and even death. It can result in organ failure, severe anemia, neurological issues, and in some cases, prove fatal, making early diagnosis and treatment crucial for preventing these life-threatening consequences.
