Background
Most. Tahmina Khatun is a humble and hardworking housewife who dreams of giving birth to a healthy baby, but her family’s poverty makes this hope difficult to achieve. Her husband earns only 200–300 BDT a day as a day laborer and part-time farmer, and the five family members—including her parents-in-law and seven-year-old son—struggle to survive in a broken house with no land or animals to support them. They are still recovering from the debt they once took to pay for her first cesarean section, leaving them unable to afford the urgent treatment she now needs for a breech pregnancy with oligohydramnios. Tahmina, who loves cooking and always tries to care for her family despite all challenges, now faces a life-threatening situation for both herself and her unborn baby if she does not receive immediate medical care. Without treatment, the baby could suffer distress or death, and Tahmina herself could face severe complications, putting the entire family at risk of another devastating loss.
Medical history
Most Tahmina Begum was admitted to the hospital on October 2, 2025, with a diagnosis of Breech Presentation and Oligohydramnios. On the same day, she had a successful cesarean section and gave birth to a healthy baby. Both mother and newborn were discharged on October 07, 2025, in good health. Her husband and father came to the hospital to receive her and their child. The family expressed their gratitude to Helpster, Mother Clinic and, Bablu Abdullah for their treatment and support. Prognosis
A Lower Uterine Cesarean Section (LUCS) is the safest treatment option for Most. Tahmina Khatun, as it significantly reduces the risks associated with breech presentation and low amniotic fluid. With timely surgery, both the mother and baby have a high chance of a safe delivery, preventing complications such as fetal distress, birth injury, or rupture of the previous scar. The procedure will help stabilize the baby’s condition and protect Tahmina’s health, ensuring a smoother recovery. However, if left untreated, the baby may suffer from oxygen deprivation or stillbirth, and Tahmina herself could face life-threatening complications during labor.
