Baby Minhaz Hossain, the first of four premature siblings, was born at just 29 weeks, weighing only 1 kilogram, and now fights for his life in the NICU. His father, a humble salesman at a local cosmetic shop, and his mother, a homemaker, are struggling desperately to afford the costly treatment for all four fragile infants. The family lives in a tiny rented room, surviving on a modest income that can barely cover daily meals, let alone life-saving hospital expenses. Despite their hardship, they hold onto hope and prayer, visiting their tiny babies every day with tears and faith. Without continued treatment, Baby Minhaz could face fatal complications from respiratory failure, infection, or malnutrition—but with support, he has a fighting chance to survive and someday grow up healthy beside his siblings.

Baby Minhaz was admitted to the NICU on 28th September 2025, where he received intensive care for 32 days. On 31st October 2025, he was transferred to the general ward, and after a day of observation, he was discharged on 1st November 2025 with medical advice for continued care at home. The entire hospital staff and Helpster Charity Bangladesh team shared the joy of his recovery, while the baby’s parents were speechless with emotion and gratitude. After receiving Helpster’s support, Baby Minhaz Hossain was able to continue his essential treatment in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) without any financial interruption. The assistance covered the costs of oxygen therapy, surfactant treatment, antibiotics, and nutritional support—each vital for his survival. Over the following weeks, Minhaz’s breathing improved, his weight gradually increased, and he began to tolerate NG tube feeding well. The doctors noted steady progress, and his condition became more stable each day. Thanks to Helpster Charity’s timely intervention, Minhaz’s recovery took a positive turn, filling his family with renewed hope and gratitude.

Baby Minhaz Hossain requires continuous intensive care in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) with oxygen therapy, surfactant replacement, and Total Parenteral Nutrition (TPN) to manage Respiratory Distress Syndrome (RDS) and support growth. The treatment plan includes infection control, thermal regulation in an incubator, and gradual transition to NG tube feeding as the baby stabilizes. Regular monitoring of vital signs, blood glucose, and electrolytes is essential to prevent complications. With consistent NICU management, Minhaz’s condition is expected to improve steadily, allowing his lungs and organs to mature. However, without specialized neonatal care, the risks of respiratory failure, infection, or developmental complications remain extremely high.
