Why is treatment sometimes done earlier than the payment?

When a case is urgent and vital, hospitals often proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalisation of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts. That’s why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

Background

Toheebat is the second child in a family of five. She is a well-behaved girl with a natural spirit of leadership and aspires to become a computer engineer in the future. She has been having abdominal pain in the right iliac fosse and the pain refer to the umbilicus , she has been on antibiotics with analgesics on various occasion with little improvement .They were refrred to our facility for further evaluation. Upon presentation at our hospital ,and after further clinical evaluation , she was diagnosed with perforated acute appendicitis.

Medical history

She was evaluated clinically and diagnosed with acute appendicitis, after which she underwent an appendectomy (surgical removal of the inflamed appendix). The surgery was successful, and she recovered well. Her pain and infection were resolved, and she was able to return to normal activities without complications.

Prognosis

If appendicitis is not treated, it can lead to serious complications, the most severe being a ruptured appendix. When the appendix ruptures, it releases bacteria into the abdomen, potentially leading to a serious infection called peritonitis, which can be life-threatening. An abscess, which is a pocket of infection, may also form. Treatment for appendicitis usually involves surgery to remove the appendix, a procedure known as an appendectomy
