Sutul Rani, a 35+ week pregnant woman in her third pregnancy, is diagnosed with breech presentation and polyhydramnios. This means the baby is positioned feet- or buttocks-first in the uterus instead of head-down, and there is an excessive amount of amniotic fluid surrounding the baby. These conditions increase the risk of delivery complications, such as umbilical cord compression, fetal distress, or head entrapment during birth. Because of her previous Cesarean section and current abdominal discomfort, her case is considered high-risk and requires close monitoring and a planned C-section for safe delivery.

Background
Sutul Rani, a 35-year-old woman, is 35+ weeks pregnant with her third child. She has a complicated obstetric history — her first delivery was a cesarean section at a government hospital, and her second pregnancy ended in miscarriage. The latest ultrasound reveals a breech presentation with polyhydramnios, increasing the risk for both mother and baby and requiring close medical supervision. Her husband, a day laborer, earns a minimal income and cannot afford the necessary treatment expenses. Without timely medical intervention, both maternal and fetal outcomes could be severely compromised.
Medical history
The patient,Sutul Rani was admitted to City Clinic on 25 Octomber 2025. A successful cesarean section was performed the same day, and she delivered a healthy 3 kg female baby. Both mother and child progressed well and were discharged on 29th October 2025 with proper postnatal advice. The patient and her family expressed heartfelt gratitude to Helpster, the dedicated volunteers, and City Clinic for their kind support and care throughout the treatment.
Prognosis
A Lower Uterine Cesarean Section (LUCS) is the safest and most effective treatment option for Sutul Rani, given her breech presentation and polyhydramnios. This planned surgical delivery will help prevent life-threatening complications such as uterine rupture, severe bleeding, cord prolapse, or fetal distress. With timely surgery, both the mother and baby have an excellent chance of recovery and a healthy outcome. However, if left untreated or if labor begins naturally, the situation could quickly become critical, endangering both their lives. Early intervention through LUCS offers the best chance for a safe delivery and long-term well-being for mother and child.
