Background
Shapla, a polite and caring young woman, lives with her husband and elderly parents in a small home, where they struggle to make ends meet on her husband’s limited daily income. Despite her humble circumstances, she finds happiness in decorating her simple room and keeping it neat, dreaming one day of building a warm and beautiful home for her family. Recently, she developed severe lower abdominal pain and reduced fetal movement, later diagnosed as severe oligohydramnios with fetal distress, requiring an immediate cesarean section. However, the family cannot afford the high cost of surgery and hospital care. Without timely treatment, both Shapla and her unborn baby are at grave risk of life-threatening complications, making urgent support essential to save them.
Medical history
Shapla was admitted to the hospital on 01.10.2025 with a critical condition due to severe oligohydramnios and signs of fetal distress. Upon admission, doctors immediately performed a cesarean section to save both mother and baby. Thankfully, the procedure was successful, and the baby was delivered safely. Shapla received proper post-operative care and support during her hospital stay. Her condition gradually improved, and both mother and baby remained stable under medical supervision. After a full recovery and ensuring no further complications, the doctors discharged her on 05.10.2025 in good health.
Prognosis
The doctor’s prognosis for Shapla is positive with immediate lower segment cesarean section (LSCS), which is the safest and most effective treatment in her condition. Timely surgery will relieve fetal distress, prevent further complications, and greatly improve the chances of a healthy outcome for both mother and baby. After the procedure, with proper postnatal care and monitoring, Shapla is expected to recover well and her baby can thrive normally.
