Background
Sriti Rani Pramanik, a gentle and hopeful 41-year-old mother, has been enduring four days of watery discharge and abdominal pain, only to learn that her baby is in breech position with low amniotic fluid—making her delivery extremely high-risk. Her husband, Prosanta, earns just 9,000 Taka a month from small-scale farming, barely enough to provide for their family of four, including their 12-year-old son Pritom and elderly mother-in-law, Archona. With their limited income, they cannot afford the emergency medical care Sriti urgently needs to safely bring her baby into the world. Despite her joyful nature and love for cooking, Sriti’s condition has filled the household with fear as the doctor warned that without proper treatment, both mother and child could face life-threatening complications during delivery. The family now desperately seeks support to ensure Sriti’s safe delivery and protect the future of their growing family.
Medical history
Sriti Rani Pramanik was admitted to the hospital on October 07, 2025, with a diagnosis of Breech presentation and oligohydramnios. On the same day, she underwent a successful Cesarean section and delivered a healthy baby boy. Both mother and newborn were discharged in good health on October 12 2025. Her mother came to the hospital to receive them and expressed sincere gratitude to Helpster, Jamuna Clinic, and Bablu Abdullah for their medical care and support. She was especially thankful to Helpster for the financial assistance, which provided significant relief during their time of need.
Prognosis
The doctor has recommended a Lower Uterine Segment Cesarean Section (LUCS) as the safest option for Sriti, given her baby’s breech position and the presence of mild oligohydramnios. With timely LUCS, both mother and baby have an excellent chance of a safe delivery, reducing the risk of birth injury, fetal distress, or complications during labor. The procedure will help ensure that the baby is delivered smoothly and that Sriti avoids the dangers associated with attempting a vaginal birth in her condition. However, if left untreated, the combination of breech presentation and low amniotic fluid could lead to life-threatening complications for both mother and child, including cord compression or obstructed labor. Early surgical intervention is vital to protect their health and ensure a safe outcome for the family.
