Sidratul Muntaha, a sweet and cheerful 2-month-old baby girl, has already filled her young parents, Tawsif and Israt, with immense joy despite their difficult life in a small tin house shared with her grandparents, Motiur Rahman and Lovely Begum. Both parents work in a garments factory, earning barely enough to cover food and basic living costs, leaving them with no savings to afford the 81,000 BDT needed for Sidratul’s urgent eye surgeries. As Sidratul gradually lost her response to light, doctors confirmed she has congenital cataracts in both eyes, meaning she is already slipping into blindness. Without immediate surgery, she may permanently lose her vision and never see her parents’ faces or the world around her. Heartbroken and helpless, the family now turns to Helpster Charity, praying for support to give this little girl the precious gift of sight.

Sidratul Muntaha, a 1-year-old girl, required treatment due to a cataract in her both eyes that was causing blurred vision and affecting her daily life activities. To restore her sight and prevent further visual impairment, she underwent cataract surgery under general anesthesia in both eyes performed by Dr. Md. Anwar Hossain Sk, Chief Consultant of the Hospital. The treatment process went smoothly, with careful monitoring to ensure her comfort and safety throughout the procedure. After the surgery, Yeasmin recovered well and quickly began experiencing significant improvement in her visual clarity. She now feels comfortable and can see clearly without the difficulties she faced earlier. Her restored vision has greatly improved her confidence and quality of life. According to Dr. Md. Anwar Hossain Sheikh, Chief Consultant, and Dr. Md. Rashedur Rahman, Senior Consultant at Mazharul Haque BNSB Eye Hospital, Chandpur, baby Sidratul requires urgent cataract surgery in both eyes, followed by intraocular lens (IOL) implantation and postoperative care. The doctors believe that with timely surgery, her vision can be fully restored, allowing her to grow and develop like other healthy children. They have emphasized that early intervention is vital — the sooner the surgery is done, the better her chances of developing normal sight. However, any delay could result in permanent visual impairment or total blindness for life. The doctors have given hope that with proper treatment and follow-up, Sidratul can regain her sight and live a normal, bright, and independent life.
