Samiul Islam Sabbir has been diagnosed with severe pneumonia, a serious lung infection that is causing him high fever, persistent cough, and significant difficulty in breathing. His condition has weakened him greatly, making it hard for him to attend school or engage in normal activities. Severe pneumonia in children can progress quickly, affecting oxygen levels and putting stress on the heart and lungs. With timely medical treatment, however, Samiul has a strong chance of recovery and returning to his studies and daily life.

Background
Samiul Islam Sabbir, an 8-year-old madrasa student with a kind heart and the dream of becoming a teacher someday, lives with his parents and two siblings in a household struggling to make ends meet. His father earns very little as a day laborer, and with five family members to support, they cannot afford the medical care Samiul urgently needs. Despite being playful, hardworking, and full of hope, Samiul has become weak and unable to study or play football because of his worsening fever, breathing difficulty, and palpitations. If left untreated, his condition could develop into a severe respiratory or cardiac complication, putting his young life at serious risk. Proper medical treatment is essential to help him recover, return to school, and continue pursuing the bright future he dreams of.
Medical history
Samiul Islam was admitted to the hospital on September 23, 2025, with Cough, Palpitation and fever. After diagnoses, he was found with Pneumonia. After getting treatment for 5 days, he was discharged on September 27, 2025, in good health. His mother came to the hospital to receive him. The family expressed their gratitude to Helpster, Jamuna Clinic and, Bablu Abdullah for their treatment and support. His mother was especially thankful for the financial assistance provided by Helpster.
Prognosis
The doctors believe that with hospital admission, parenteral antibiotics, oxygen therapy, and proper nutritional support, Samiul has an excellent chance of recovering fully from severe pneumonia. These treatments will help control the infection, improve his breathing, and restore his strength so he can return to school and his normal activities. Without this urgent care, the pneumonia could worsen, leading to dangerously low oxygen levels, respiratory failure, or even life-threatening complications. His young body is already struggling, and delaying treatment would put both his health and future at serious risk. Proper medical intervention now is essential to protect his life and allow him to continue pursuing his dreams.
