She has been diagnosed with a breech presentation, where the baby is positioned feet- or buttocks-first instead of head-first. Her condition is complicated by a history of two previous Cesarean sections and a poor obstetric history, making this pregnancy high-risk. Close medical monitoring and a planned Cesarean delivery are essential to prevent serious complications such as uterine rupture, preterm labor, or fetal distress, ensuring the safety of both mother and child.

Background
Ratna Rani, a 30-year-old woman from a modest family, is 29 weeks pregnant with her third child. Her husband, Prodip Roy, works as a day laborer, earning just enough to meet daily needs for their two daughters — Mithi (10) and Megha (5). Despite her cheerful nature and dedication to her family, Ratna’s pregnancy has become high-risk, as the baby is in a breech position and she has had two previous Cesarean sections. The family cannot afford the cost of another surgery, though it is urgently needed to prevent life-threatening complications such as uterine rupture or fetal distress. Having heard about Helpster’s support from neighbors, the family now hopes for assistance so Ratna can safely deliver her baby and return home to her children.
Medical history
The patient,Ratna Rani was admitted to City Clinic on 11th December 2025. A successful cesarean section was performed the same day, and she delivered a healthy 3 kg female baby. Both mother and child progressed well and were discharged on 14th December 2025 with proper postnatal advice. The patient and her family expressed heartfelt gratitude to Helpster, the dedicated volunteers, and City Clinic for their kind support and care throughout the treatment.
Prognosis
A Lower Uterine Cesarean Section (LUCS) is the safest and most appropriate treatment for Sultana Akter, given her breech presentation, 29-week high-risk pregnancy, and two previous Cesarean sections. The procedure will help prevent life-threatening complications such as uterine rupture, severe bleeding, cord prolapse, and fetal distress, ensuring the best possible outcome for both mother and baby. With timely surgical intervention, Ratna has an excellent chance of a safe recovery and delivering a healthy child. However, if left untreated or if labor begins naturally, both maternal and fetal lives could be at serious risk, potentially leading to preterm birth complications or stillbirth. Early planned LUCS is therefore critical for a safe and successful delivery.
