Why is treatment sometimes done earlier than the payment?

When a case is urgent and vital, hospitals often proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalisation of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts. That’s why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

About pulmonology

Severe pneumonia is an infection of the lungs that requires immediate medical attention and may necessitate hospitalization for advanced treatments like oxygen therapy, intravenous fluids, and antibiotics. Symptoms can include extreme fatigue, severe shortness of breath, chest pain, and a productive cough or blood in cough. Treatment depends on the cause, but in severe cases, it can require intubation and a ventilator to help a patient breathe well.

Background

Gift is a Grade 5 pupil and one of four children. His mother passed away, and his father abandoned the family, leaving the siblings under the care of their grandmother. All five children live with her in a small one-room home. Their grandfather, who was previously the main provider, is also deceased. Every morning, the grandmother works on other people’s farms, cultivating crops for a small wage. With the little she earns, she struggles to feed the children and pay for their schooling. A neighbor - one of Helpster’s beneficiaries - introduced her to the organization after seeing how much she was struggling with her sick grandson. After witnessing Helpster support another child, the neighbor encouraged her to seek help for Gift. Despite the hardships he faces, Gift is a hardworking and determined boy. He dreams of becoming a doctor one day so he can help others in need. Gift, who has a known history of asthma, was brought to the facility by his grandmother after five days of cough, headache, difficulty breathing, and high fever. Following examination and laboratory tests, he was diagnosed with severe pneumonia on a background of asthma. He was admitted for treatment and further management.
