Abba M., 20

A 20-year-old son of a carpenter. He is extroverted and likes watching movies and playing soccer. He aspires to become a military personal in the nearest future. He is living with his mother and 4 sisters while his 2 brothers are in other state. Abba Massa, presented to UMD Medical Clinic, Maiduguri, with progressive abdominal swelling, menstrual irregularities, and intermittent lower abdominal pain for 8 months. He has a history of left flank pain, dysuria, hematuria, fever, and lower back pain, which previously subsided with analgesics. Symptoms reappeared 8 months ago with worsening abdominal swelling. Upon presentation at our hospital, after further evaluation, he was diagnosed with Cystolithiasis (Bladder Stone).

Abba Massa, a 20-year-old boy, presented with a history of Oliguria, dysuria, hematuria accompanied by lower back pain since 6 months. After thorough evaluation and investigation, he was diagnosed with Cystolithiasis (bladder stone). He underwent successful Cystolithotomy surgery without immediate complications. Due to the nature of his condition, he was admitted for 3 days for close monitoring and post-operative care. Baba recovered well and was discharged home after 3 days, with a follow-up appointment scheduled for 1 week. Currently, he is doing well, has fully recovered, and has resumed his regular activities. Larger bladder stones often require more invasive treatments like lithotripsy, which uses sound waves to break the stones into smaller pieces, or surgical removal. Preventing recurrence patient can benefit from dietary modifications, copious fluid intake, and addressing underlying conditions that contribute to stone formation.
