Why is treatment sometimes done earlier than the payment?

When a case is urgent and vital, hospitals often proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalisation of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts. That’s why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

About bones & joints

A fracture of the proximal phalanx of the 4th finger is a break in the long bone at the base of the fourth finger, near the palm. Background

Rakib is a cheerful 19-year-old who lives with his father, mother, and brother, and he loves playing football and enjoying his mother’s cooking. After an accidental injury, he developed severe pain and swelling in his right hand, and doctors later confirmed a fracture of the 4th proximal phalanx. His father is the only earner in the family, and their limited income barely covers daily expenses, leaving them unable to afford the urgent treatment and immobilization Rakib needs. Without proper care, his fracture could heal incorrectly, leading to long-term disability and preventing him from using his hand for work or everyday tasks. His worried family is now seeking support so Rakib can recover fully and continue dreaming of becoming a successful businessman.

Medical history

Rakib is a 19-year-old boy, He was suffer from fracture 4th proximal phalanges. The patient was admitted in NPC for operation there open reduction and internal fixation was done. He admitted on 15/10/25 and discharged on 16/10/25. Thankfully, Rakib is now doing well and back home, his parents beaming with pride. A heartfelt thank you goes out to the Helpster Heroes and the Narayanganj Polyclinic Team!

Prognosis

The doctor explained that open reduction and internal fixation (ORIF) will properly realign and stabilize Rakib’s fractured bone, allowing his hand to heal correctly and regain full function. With this treatment, he is expected to recover well and return to normal activities, including playing football and helping his family. Without ORIF, the bone may heal in the wrong position, causing chronic pain, stiffness, and difficulty using his right hand for daily tasks. This could affect his ability to work in the future and limit his independence. Timely surgical treatment gives him the best chance for a healthy and functional life.
