Why is treatment sometimes done earlier than the payment?

When a case is urgent and vital, hospitals often proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalisation of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts. That’s why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

About gynecology

Hosne is a 33-year-old woman at 35+ weeks of pregnancy who has been diagnosed with polyhydramnios, a condition characterized by an excessive amount of amniotic fluid. This condition can cause abdominal pain, breathing discomfort, and reduced fetal movement, and increases the risk of preterm labor, cord prolapse, and fetal distress. Due to the rapid enlargement of the uterus, both the mother and baby require close medical monitoring. Timely and appropriate medical intervention is essential to prevent serious complications and ensure the safety of both mother and child.

Background

Hosne Ara is a 33-year-old mother living in a tin-shed house with her husband, elderly mother, and young son, struggling under ongoing financial hardship after taking loans for her previous caesarean delivery. Gentle and hardworking, she takes pride in caring for her home, planting trees, and cooking for her family, and dreams only of a peaceful life for her children. During this pregnancy, she developed lower abdominal pain, reduced fetal movement, and polyhydramnios after 35 weeks, but a nearby government hospital could not provide emergency care due to a lack of doctors. Without timely treatment, her condition could lead to severe complications such as fetal distress, premature delivery, or risk to the mother’s life. After learning about Helpster Charity and Narayanganj Poly Clinic from another patient, the family sought urgent support in hope of saving both mother and child.

Medical history

Hosne had 35 weeks plus pregnancy. suddenly she complaints of lower abdominal pain. She had also complaints of less foetal movement and polyhydramnios. Patient got admitted to Narayanganj Poly Clinic. As there was less foetal movement and lower abdominal pain was not progressed patient needed emergency cesarean section. Cesarean section was done successfully under spinal anaesthesia and a healthy male baby was delivered. She was admitted on 19/10/2025 and was discharged on 24/08/2025. After operation conservative treatment was given. Now patient is doing well, she is back to her normal life with smiling face. ‎

Prognosis

According to the doctor, performing a Lower Uterine Caesarean Section (LUCS) under spinal anesthesia (SAB) is the safest treatment for Hosne given her advanced pregnancy and polyhydramnios. This procedure will allow timely and controlled delivery of the baby, significantly reducing the risk of fetal distress and sudden complications such as cord prolapse. With successful surgery, both mother and child are expected to recover well and have a healthy outcome. If left untreated, the excessive amniotic fluid could lead to preterm labor, severe fetal distress, or even loss of the baby, while also placing the mother at risk of life-threatening complications. Therefore, timely LUCS is crucial to protect the lives and future well-being of both mother and child.
