Mursida Khatun is a second-gravida woman currently at 36 weeks of pregnancy with a single live fetus and has been diagnosed with severe oligohydramnios along with a right-sided adnexal cyst. The severely reduced amniotic fluid means the baby has very little cushioning, increasing the risk of fetal distress, restricted movement, and complications during labor. The presence of an adnexal cyst further complicates the pregnancy, as it may cause pain or interfere with safe delivery. Due to these combined risks, she requires close monitoring and timely medical intervention to ensure the safety of both mother and baby.

Background
Mst. Mursida Khatun is a young, gentle housewife who has already endured the pain of losing her first child and now carries great hope for this pregnancy. Her husband, Md. Hasan Babu, a day laborer with unstable income, learned about Helpster Charity through Bablu Abdullah and sought help when they realized they could not afford medical treatment. After Bablu Abdullah visited their home for evaluation, Mursida was referred to Jamuna Clinic for urgent care. If she does not receive timely treatment, severe oligohydramnios and the adnexal cyst could result in preterm birth, infection, or loss of the baby, repeating a devastating tragedy for the family. This support is critical for protecting both Mursida’s life and the future of her unborn child.
Medical history
Mst Mursida Khatun was admitted to the hospital on October 26, 2025, with a diagnosis of severe oligohydramnios and Adnexal Cyst. On the same day, she had a successful cesarean section and gave birth to a healthy baby girl. Both mother and newborn were discharged on October 30, 2025, in good health. Her husband came to the hospital to receive her and their child. The family expressed their gratitude to Helpster, Jamuna Clinic and Bablu Abdullah for their treatment and support. Her husband was especially thankful for the financial assistance provided by Helpster.
Prognosis
The doctor has advised LUCS (Lower Uterine Cesarean Section) along with removal of the right adnexal cyst as the safest treatment option for Mursida Khatun. This combined procedure will allow the baby to be delivered safely despite severe oligohydramnios, while also preventing future complications from the adnexal cyst. With timely surgery, the chances of fetal survival and a healthy recovery for the mother are significantly improved. However, if left untreated, the baby may suffer from severe fetal distress, oxygen deprivation, or stillbirth. The mother could also face serious risks such as infection, rupture, severe pain, or life-threatening complications during labor.
