Mst. Kajuli Akter is a 24-year-old woman currently 36 weeks pregnant. She has been diagnosed with breech presentation and oligohydramnios. In a breech presentation, the fetus is positioned with the pelvis or feet downward instead of the head, which significantly increases the risk of complications during labor and delivery. One of the most serious potential complications is umbilical cord prolapse, which can interrupt the baby’s oxygen supply and endanger both maternal and fetal health. Oligohydramnios is another serious pregnancy condition characterized by an abnormally low amount of amniotic fluid. It is typically diagnosed when ultrasound measurements show the largest pocket of amniotic fluid to be less than 1 cm. This reduced fluid level indicates that the volume of amniotic fluid is significantly below the expected range for her gestational age, and in severe cases, it can pose serious risks to both the mother and the baby.

Background
Mst. Kajuli Akter is a 28-year-old woman, currently 36 weeks pregnant with her third child. She has a history of a previous cesarean section and the loss of both previous babies. Recently, she developed per vaginal watery discharge, indicating premature rupture of membranes (PROM), which poses serious risks to both her and her unborn baby. Her husband, Sujon Miah, is a day laborer earning around 10,000 Taka per month, and the family of six lives in poverty with her parents due to not having a permanent home. They learned about Helpster Charity through a local teacher, and after receiving guidance, they visited the Mother Clinic seeking urgent financial assistance for her treatment, as they cannot afford the cost of a cesarean section required to save her and the baby’s lives.
Medical history
Most Kajuli Akter was admitted to the hospital on October 28, 2025, with a diagnosis of Breech Presentation and Oligohydramnois. On the same day, she had a successful cesarean section and gave birth to a healthy baby. Both mother and newborn were discharged on November 02, 2025, in good health. Her husband and mother came to the hospital to receive her and their child. The family expressed their gratitude to Helpster, Mother Clinic and, Bablu Abdullah for their treatment and support. Her husband was especially thankful for the financial assistance provided by Helpster.
Prognosis
With a timely Caesarean section, Mst. Kajuli Akter and her unborn child have a high likelihood of a safe and successful delivery, greatly reducing the risks associated with her current diagnoses of breech presentation, fetal distress, and oligohydramnios. However, if the required medical intervention is delayed or left untreated, her condition may deteriorate rapidly, leading to severe and potentially fatal complications for both mother and baby. What should be a joyful and natural moment in her life could quickly turn into a critical medical emergency without prompt and appropriate medical care.
