Monju Ara Begum is a gentle, pious young mother who lovingly cares for her two small children and even the animals around their makeshift home, dreaming one day of building a small cow farm to give her family a better life. But she and her husband live in an abandoned field, and his meager 6,000 taka monthly income as a day laborer is barely enough to feed eight people—her children, her sick father-in-law, her parents-in-law, and her brother- and sister-in-law—leaving nothing for the life-saving treatment she now urgently needs. At 36 weeks of pregnancy with a breech baby and increasing pain and abdominal hardening, every day without proper medical care brings the terrifying risk of obstructed labor, severe bleeding, or losing her baby. If she cannot receive timely intervention, her children could lose their devoted mother, her ill father-in-law and in-laws would lose the one who cares for them so patiently, and the entire family’s fragile hope for a better future could shatter in an instant.

Monju Ara, who was 36 weeks and 4 days pregnant, was admitted on 23.10.2025 after being diagnosed with breech presentation and experiencing lower abdominal pain, abdominal discomfort, fatigue, and hardening of the abdomen. Upon admission, she was carefully monitored, and her condition was assessed to ensure the safety of both her and the baby. Given the breech presentation, a timely and successful operation was performed to deliver the baby safely. Following the surgery, she received attentive medical management and nursing care, including monitoring of vital signs, wound care, and support for rest and nutrition, which helped stabilize her condition and promoted her recovery. During her hospital stay, she gradually regained strength and felt supported by the compassionate care of the medical team. After showing significant improvement, Monju Ara was discharged on 26.10.2025, in much better health and able to care for her newborn while resuming her daily life.

The doctor has recommended a Lower Segment Cesarean Section (LSCS) as the safest option to prevent complications such as obstructed labor, fetal distress, or even intrauterine death. With timely surgical intervention, both Monju Ara and her baby have a strong chance of a safe delivery and recovery. If left untreated, she could face life-threatening complications during labor, and the baby’s life would be at serious risk. The LSCS offers the best opportunity for a secure delivery and a hopeful future for both mother and child.
