Sopna Rani is a gentle, religious, and kind-hearted 23-year-old woman whose honesty and compassion make her deeply respected in her community. Despite her dreams of one day building a cow farm and improving her family’s future, she and her husband live in a fragile mud house, surviving on his small fisherman’s income of only 5,000 taka — far too little to afford lifesaving medical care for their five-member family. Now in her 37th week of pregnancy, Sopna faces a dangerous situation with oligohydramnios, reduced fetal movement, watery discharge, and a history of previous cesarean section — conditions that could lead to severe fetal distress or even loss of the baby if not treated urgently. Her increasing fatigue, anemia, and swelling make her even more vulnerable without immediate medical intervention. When the family learned through a free medical camp that Helpster Charity could assist them, it became their only hope to save both Sopna and her unborn child from potentially life-threatening complications.

Sopna Rani, who was 37 weeks and 2 days pregnant, was admitted on 20.10.2025 with lower abdominal pain, general edema, mild anemia, per vaginal watery discharge, and decreased fetal movement. She was diagnosed with oligohydramnios with reduced fetal activity, which posed a risk to both her and the baby. She underwent a successful operation, after which both mother and baby were safe. During her hospital stay, she received careful medical management and continuous nursing care, including monitoring, medication, and support for early recovery. With timely intervention and attentive care, her condition improved steadily. Sopna Rani responded well to treatment and was able to recover comfortably. She was discharged on 23.10.2025 in stable and healthy condition, along with her baby.

The doctor has recommended a Lower Segment Cesarean Section (LSCS) under spinal anesthesia (SAB) as the safest treatment option for Sopna Rani. If left untreated or if a caesarean section is not performed during labor, there is a high risk of obstructed labor and intrauterine fetal death. However, with a timely lower segment caesarean section (LSCS), the baby can be delivered safely, and both mother and child are expected to recover well with proper care.
