Mst Eliza Khatun is 37 weeks of single viable pregnancy with Oligohydramnios while her last two deliveries was C-section. Oligohydramnios is a serious pregnancy complication characterized by an unusually low amount of amniotic fluid, defined by ultrasound measurements of the largest pocket of amniotic fluid being less than 1 cm. Oligohydramnios in general is when the amniotic fluid volume is less than expected for the gestational age, with severe cases indicating a particularly low amount.

Background
Mst Eliza Khatun is a caring and hopeful mother from a very poor family, living on a monthly income of only 8,000 taka earned by her husband, Md. Rabiul Islam, a chicken seller and former day laborer, while also supporting their young daughter Jannati Akter and elderly mother-in-law Rahima Begum. With this limited income, the family struggles to meet daily needs and cannot afford the high cost of surgical delivery and hospital care. Despite past trauma of losing her first child and having two previous Caesarean sections, Eliza remains strong and deeply wishes to give birth to a healthy baby. If she does not receive timely treatment for her current pregnancy complications, including oligohydramnios, both her life and the unborn child’s life could be at serious risk. Learning about Helpster’s support from a poster and seeking help through Bablu Abdullah became the family’s only hope for a safe delivery and a better outcome.
Medical history
Mst Eliza Khatun was admitted to the hospital on November 11, 2025, with a diagnosis of Breech Presentation. On the same day, she had a successful cesarean section and gave birth to a healthy baby boy. Both mother and newborn were discharged on November 15, 2025, in good health. Her husband came to the hospital to receive her and their child. The family expressed their gratitude to Helpster, Jamuna Clinic and Bablu Abdullah for their treatment and support. Prognosis
The doctor recommends an urgent cesarean section for Mst Eliza Khatun to prevent life-threatening complications for both her and her baby. With severe oligohydramnios could result in fetal distress, stillbirth, or serious maternal complications such as uterine rupture or placental issues. A timely C-section offers the best chance of delivering a healthy baby and protecting the mother’s life. If the procedure is performed promptly Mst Eliza Khatun and her child are expected to recover well, with significantly reduced risks of morbidity or mortality. Without this intervention, both mother and baby face a critical situation that could have irreversible consequences.
