Shezad is a lively 2-year-old child who lives with his parents in a tin-shed rented house, where the small family struggles daily due to extreme poverty. His parents lovingly dream of seeing him grow into a doctor one day, but their hopes were shaken when he suffered a serious knife injury that later became badly infected. With no savings and limited income, his parents were unable to take him to a tertiary hospital after he was referred, leaving them frightened and helpless. Without urgent treatment, the infection could spread into his bloodstream and become life-threatening. After learning about Helpster Charity at the government hospital, the desperate parents brought Shezad to Narayanganj Polyclinic, seeking support to save their child’s life and future.

Shehzad was suffering from wound infection due to accidental cut injury. He required emergency hospitalization due to sepsis in the body. Shezad was treated conservatively with injectable antibiotics and regular dressing of the wound site. He was admitted on 01/11/25 and discharged on 05/11/25. He is now doing well and back home with a bright smile. His family is incredibly happy to have his safe and sound! A heartfelt thank you to the Helpster Heroes and the Narayanganj Polyclinic Team!

Doctors have advised that proper antibiotic treatment along with regular wound dressing is essential to control the infection and help Shezad recover safely. With timely treatment, the infection is expected to resolve, pain and swelling will reduce, and the wound will heal properly, allowing him to return to normal play and growth. Early care will also prevent the spread of infection to the blood and other organs. If left untreated, the infection could rapidly worsen and lead to severe complications such as sepsis, which can be life-threatening in a young child. Prompt treatment is therefore critical to protect Shezad’s life and long-term health.
