She developed alarming symptoms including lower abdominal pain, per-vaginal discharge, and reduced fetal movement, indicating possible complications near term. These signs required urgent medical attention to prevent risks to both mother and baby. Without timely intervention, breech presentation at this advanced stage can lead to serious delivery complications

Background
Santona is a gentle and caring young woman who dreams of a peaceful life with her husband, son, and elderly parents, but poverty has made every step of her pregnancy filled with fear and uncertainty. Living in a rented house without a permanent income or savings, the family simply could not afford emergency medical care when Santona developed severe abdominal pain, vaginal discharge, reduced fetal movement, and a dangerous breech presentation at 36 weeks. When the nearby government hospital was unable to provide timely surgery due to a shortage of doctors, the risk to both mother and baby became life-threatening. Without urgent treatment, Santona could have lost her baby or suffered serious complications herself. With support from Helpster Charity, she was admitted to Narayanganj Poly Clinic, for an emergency cesarean section safely delivered a healthy baby, giving the family a new beginning filled with hope.
Medical history
Santona had 36 weeks plus pregnancy. suddenly she complaints of lower abdominal pain. She had also complaints of less foetal movement and breech presentation. Patient got admitted to Narayanganj Poly Clinic. As there was less foetal movement and lower abdominal pain was not progressed patient needed emergency cesarean section. Cesarean section was done successfully under spinal anaesthesia and a healthy male was delivered. She was admitted on 05/11/2025 and was discharged on 08/11/2025. After operation conservative treatment was given. Now patient is doing well, she is back to her normal life with smiling face.
Prognosis
Doctors recommended LUCS (Lower Uterine Cesarean Section) as the safest treatment option for Santona due to the breech position of the baby and her advanced stage of pregnancy. With timely LUCS, the procedure allows for a controlled and safe delivery, significantly reducing the risk of birth injury, oxygen deprivation, or loss of the baby. The surgery also protects Santona from severe complications such as obstructed labor, excessive bleeding, or uterine rupture. If left untreated and labor began naturally, the baby could face life-threatening distress, and Santona’s life could also be in danger. Therefore, LUCS plays a critical role in ensuring a healthy outcome for both mother and child.
