Why is treatment sometimes done earlier than the payment?
When a case is urgent and vital, hospitals often proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalisation of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts. That’s why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

Background
Kamrul Hasan is a hardworking and determined 17-year-old student who dreams of completing his education and securing a stable job to lift his family out of poverty. He lives with his elderly parents in a small tin-shed house, where his father works as a day laborer earning only 6,000 taka a month—barely enough to cover food and basic needs, let alone the cost of surgery. Kamrul has suffered from left-sided scrotal swelling due to hydrocele since birth, but the condition has now worsened, causing severe pain that limits his ability to walk, sit, or even concentrate on his studies. Without urgent surgery, his swelling may continue to grow, leading to infection, increased pain, or long-term complications that could affect his future. Despite the challenges, Kamrul remains hopeful, praying for the chance to recover and continue his education so he can someday support his parents and change their lives for the better.
Medical history
Kamrul was very scared when he was taken to the hospital, but his surgery went smoothly, and he returned home without any pain or complications. Now, he can walk, rest, and focus on his studies comfortably — things that were difficult for him before. He feels relieved, stronger, and hopeful again. Kamrul says he is grateful to have his normal life back.
Prognosis
The doctors have explained that a hydrocelectomy is the most effective and permanent solution for Kamrul’s long-standing scrotal swelling. With this surgery, the accumulated fluid will be removed, relieving his pain and allowing him to walk, sit, and continue his studies without discomfort. The procedure is straightforward, and Kamrul is expected to recover fully and return to a normal, active life. However, if left untreated, the swelling may continue to increase, causing more severe pain, risk of infection, and long-term complications that could affect his mobility and future health. The doctors are confident that timely surgery will greatly improve Kamrul’s quality of life and help him move forward with his education and dreams.
