Most Rahena Begum is a resilient housewife living in extreme financial hardship with her husband, Md. Aminul Islam, a day laborer, and their physically challenged 12-year-old son, Rayhan Babu, surviving on a monthly income of only 5,000 taka. Despite her short stature and difficult life circumstances, she remains hopeful and caring, eagerly awaiting the safe birth of her second child after a previous Caesarean delivery. Now in late pregnancy, she has developed serious complications including watery vaginal discharge, scar tenderness, and oligohydramnios, making surgical intervention urgently necessary. Without timely Caesarean treatment, both Rahena and her unborn baby face life-threatening risks such as uterine rupture, fetal distress, or loss of life. Unable to afford surgical costs, the family sought help after learning from Nurse Asha Moni about Helpster, and with the support of Helpster volunteer Bablu Abdullah, they reached out as their last hope for a safe delivery.

Most Rahena Begum was admitted to the hospital on November 15, 2025, with a diagnosis of Oligohydramnios. On the same day, she had a successful cesarean section and gave birth to a healthy baby boy. Both mother and newborn were discharged on November 20, 2025, in good health. Her husband and sister in law came to the hospital to receive her and their child. The family expressed their gratitude to Helpster, Jamuna Clinic and Bablu Abdullah for their treatment and support. Her sister in law was especially thankful for the financial assistance provided by Helpster.

Doctors have advised that a timely LUCS (Lower Uterine Caesarean Section) offers the safest outcome for both Most Rahena Begum and her unborn child in this high-risk pregnancy. With prompt surgical delivery, the baby has a strong chance of being born healthy, and the mother’s risk of complications related to severe oligohydramnios and previous uterine scar can be significantly reduced. Early intervention will help prevent fetal distress, cord compression, and uterine rupture, allowing Rahena to recover and continue caring for her family. However, if LUCS is delayed or not performed, the pregnancy may result in severe fetal distress, stillbirth, or life-threatening maternal complications. Immediate surgical management is therefore critical to saving both the mother’s and child’s lives and ensuring a safe future for the family.
