This position makes a normal (vaginal) delivery dangerous. Background
Twenty-year-old Protima Rani, a gentle and responsible young woman who loves caring for her family, is now 37+ weeks into her second pregnancy, but her baby is in a dangerous breech position. Her husband works as a day laborer, and the family already struggles to afford basic food, while her elderly in-laws rely completely on her care, leaving no savings for essential medical treatment. Protima’s first pregnancy ended in a missed abortion, making this pregnancy even more emotionally fragile and medically high-risk. Without timely treatment, attempting a vaginal birth could lead to life-threatening complications for both Protima and her unborn baby. Just when the family felt hopeless, a local representative named Sujon informed them about Helpster, bringing them a glimmer of hope for a safe delivery and a brighter future.
Medical history
The patient,Protima Rani was admitted to City Clinic on 22th November 2025. A successful cesarean section was performed the same day, and she delivered a healthy 3 kg female baby. Both mother and child progressed well and were discharged on 26th November 2025 with proper postnatal advice. The patient and her family expressed heartfelt gratitude to Helpster, the dedicated volunteers, and City Clinic for their kind support and care throughout the treatment.
Prognosis
The doctor has advised a Lower Uterine Cesarean Section (LUCS) as the safest treatment option for Protima's delivery. With this procedure, both mother and baby are expected to have a stable and healthy outcome, minimizing the risks associated with breech presentation and her previous cesarean history. The surgery will help prevent life-threatening complications such as uterine rupture, fetal distress, or prolonged labor. If the condition is left untreated and a vaginal delivery is attempted, both Protima and her baby could face severe complications, including the risk of losing the baby or endangering the mother’s life. Timely surgical intervention is therefore critical for a safe and successful delivery.
